Welcome
You have made your way to datanully.com, the personal website of Brooke. Navigation starts with About, the basics about who I am and what I enjoy. What I enjoy most being Tea, my second section dedicated to my growing obsession. Speaking of obsessions, Gaming features achievements I am most proud of. Foods includes short descriptions and images of yummy meals and treats. Sprites showcases a small gallery of animations and sprite art. Where to go after that? Try travelling to another world, where I give recommendations. So, what's Data Nully? First, it's the name of a character from the awesome tv show known as Reboot. She's a Binome made to look and act like Dana Scully from the X-Files, along with her partner, Fax Modem. Second, it's my gamer tag for Xbox LIVE. When coming up with my gamertag I had a really tough time. My mind drifted to different character names and fandoms I liked, only to have the names already taken. Eventually, I glanced at my "The Art of Reboot" book, and I started punching in names. Looking back, I'm glad a lot of the stuff I chose before was already taken, because I've grown really attached to it. FanExpo 2011 I received a commission of Data Nully, done by Jim Su. A good friend of mine coloured the image.
You may notice a common theme in my interests based on my favourite fairytale, story, and even video game. Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass has captivated me time and time again. Oddly enough the original Disney movie wasn't where I first started my love for Wonderland. I read the book for Children's Literature and instantly knew this was going to be a special book in my life. This feeling continued with my introduction to the Sci-Fi Alice and American McGee's Alice/Madness Returns. The trailer for the new game sparked my imagination and threw me into the world I loved in ways I never dreamed of before. Alice has a special place in my heart for the tea party scene and more about my tea obsession is found in the Foods section.
The layout is based on two different video games. Alice Madness Returns has a beautiful opening world that the background is from. The side bar is an artist's rendition of Lujei Piche, a character featured in GrimGrimoire. Buttons on the left of the page are from the GrimGrimoire postcard pack.
This isn't my first domain but I'm hoping it'll be one I stick with for quite some time. My other ones were a variety of fansites and personal diaries. None of them really fit though, until I got datanully.com. I love coding websites, especially css, or coding profiles for other sites I've been on. I'm particularly proud of my Neopets profile, especially since I won the the spotlight.
